Henry Corrales: Lust For Blood And Violence

Bellator 238 is a stacked card headlined by Cris Cyborg and Julia Budd in a highly anticipated fight. Bellator has surrounded the fight with one of the best casts the promotion can put together. On that card is Henry Corrales and Juan Archuleta. Corrales looks to put on a show for fans and be his true self: needlessly violent.

Henry Corrales is looking to continue where he left off last camp. While his last fight didn’t go his way, he was happy with his camp and is looking to build off of that and make his game even better.

“I’m fight ready, grinding. Working with NeuroForce1 again just picking up where we left off last camp when I had a great camp. We’re just taking things to the next level.”

Corrales isn’t changing anything for his camp for Bellator 238. He intends to just get locked in a cage and bring some violence to his fans.

“Its more of the same, dude. I’m just making sure I’m ready in every aspect of the game. We’re trying to work it all and just trying to bring it to this guy.”

The loss to Darrion Caldwell wasn’t what Corrales planned, but he says it’s not the worse thing that’s happened to him. He actually feels quite fortunate to be able to fight for a living without any detrimental repercussions.

“After the loss, it’s a bummer. It’s a bummer after every time you lose for sure. But, that’s kind of it’s shitty, you know? I’ve been blessed to have a lot of bad shit in my life happen. Losing to someone in a fist fight to someone for some cash with no weapons is not that big of a deal.”

Henry Corrales’ Lust For Blood And Violence

Henry Corrales isn’t worried about a loss. He’s out for one thing only. He says, “It’s just getting back to work. Work hard, same ole shit. I’m not really determined by these wins and losses. What gets me ticking is my lust for blood and violence. I’m ready to go.”

Corrales takes on the toughest fights he can. He thrives on violence. He takes on everyone. With fights with in Bellator Caldwell, Patricio Pitbull, and Andy Main, it’s hard to argue that Corrales does not take the tough fights. He derailed the Aaron Pico hype train as a +400 underdog. That never affect Corrales in the least bit.

“Kinda like what I touched on earlier, I’m a little desensitized to any feelings, like human emotions and shit. I’ve been labeled a lot worse than being an underdog. That shit doesn’t really get to me. It’s whatever. My biggest thing is that I want to fight these guys. I just want to fight. At the end of the day, just that desire to fight someone overpowers anything else for me.”

With Bellator and RIZIN coming off of a giant cross-promotion event last New Year’s Eve, I asked if Henry Corrales would be interested in doing such a cross promotion event. Corrales says if it’s a big fight, he’s down.

“That’s be really nice. I’m interested in another big fight. I’m kind of lucky to be on the main card coming off a loss. It’s fuckin’ dope. I just want more big fights. It seems like I’m fighting all the toughest guys. Hopefully I get another tough guy.”
